    How to Reset an Email Account Password

    Three ways to reset cPanel Email Account Password:

    • Webmail
    • cPanel Email Account Menu



    Tips for password change:

    • Password must be at least 8 characters
      • Contain at least 1 uppercase character, 1 lowercase character, and 1 number
    • Use a combination of more than 8 characters for a strong password
    • Password cannot contain spaces or the following characters: \, &, +, '


    Using Webmail:

    1. Log in to the Webmail.


    2. Navigate to 'Settings'.


    3. Then click on the 'Password' button.



    4. Enter the Current Password and New Password. Click 'Save' to save the changes made.




    Using cPanel Email Accounts Menu

    1. Log in to cPanel.

    2. Navigate to the 'Email Accounts'.

    3. Click on 'Email Accounts' under the Email section, then click on the 'Manage' button.


    4. Navigate to the Security field and enter a new password. 'Generate' option is an alternative way to generate a new password.


    5. Scroll down and click on 'Update Email Settings' to save the changes.


    6. Changes are saved, confirmation message will pop up at the top right of the page.
